The Kintampo Project Video Series: Part 1, Our new charity

On 17 Jan, the UK Kintampo Project members hosted a special event to celebrate the launch of our new UK-registered charity, The Kintampo Trust, which has been created specially to raise funds for our work in Ghana.
The Kintampo Trust will help us focus our fundraising efforts and really accelerate the progress we are making in Ghana at what is a crucial phase of our Project.
Amongst the guests were Dr ET Adjase (who flew over from Ghana to attend) and Katrina Percy, the Chief Executive of the NHS organisation which supports us - Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

We were especially honored to be joined by the Patron of our new charity, Prof. Sir Eldryd Parry. The list of Sir Eldryd's accolades and achievements is formidable, and includes a knighthood for services to healthcare development in Africa. Sir Eldryd is also the founder of the Tropical Health Education Trust, without which the Kintampo Project would probably never have been started. In short, it's really difficult to think of a more perfect patron for an organisation like ours.

Tomorrow: Find out more about the work we are doing from some of our key Project Members...
