Koncert Success!

Thanks to all who came along to the first Koncert 4 Kintampo - a musical extravaganza and fundraising event rolled into one. The Koncert was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about the big issues affecting mental health services in Ghana, and to gain more local support in Hampshire - the home of the UK-half of the Project.

Moira Ledger, UK fundraising lead, who organised the event, said:

"The Koncert was the culmination of a lot of hard work by a large number of people but after grabbing the time to have a dance in the aisles myself and thoroughly letting my hair down I decided it had been well worth while. The audience were clearly having a great time, we hadnt burnt the church down or blown the fuses, and it was an evening to remember. Roll on the next one!"

In between the acts, Project Member Tess Maguire gave a moving presentation about mental health in Ghana and the work that the Kintampo Project is doing to make a difference.

If you're in the Hampshire area, look out for an even bigger Koncert in the not too distant future.
