There are about 15,000 psychiatrists in the UK but only six working in Ghana.
With less than 10 psychiatrists covering a population of around 24 million, about 98% of mentally ill people will never come into contact with a mental health worker.

What are we doing ?
The Kintampo Project  is a unique collaboration between Hampshire based NHS staff and Ghana. We are helping to train new mental health workers for the whole of Ghana. This means more patients will receive treatment than ever before. Learn more...
